How can I be sure my standards will be met?
We deal with a sample and with companies who already make the right product now, or if new, similar products. This alone makes a great difference. The sample and specification become the agreement. Money changes hands on that agreement.
Where agreed we have the items inspected independently before shipment, which adds to peace of mind. We will always send you a sample to inspect and approve before final payment.
How long will the goods take to reach me?
If the product needs manufacturing it will usually take 20 to 30 days. Sea freight is approximately 15 to 21 days. If the product is in stock – airflight is 3 to 7 days.
How much do I need to buy?
It really depends on the item – Some items require minimum quantities but some 1 item is enough. Bear in mind some items are very expensive to airfreight. Whilst everybody assumes you have to buy in FCL (full container loads), many orders are less. FCL are the best value for shipping, however volumes can be one cubic meters and upwards. Please contact us and we can discuss this further.
What currency do I deal in?
Usually contracts are signed in USD but some factories ask contract to be signed in RMB. So when time comes for payment just about any currency will be accepted as long as it equates to the equal amount on the agreement.
Can we source quality items?
China's infrastructure is well developed. Technology is very advanced – just about any level of quality can be met. However, quality is related to price, and so just because you have experienced poor quality does mean good quality cannot be bought, it might mean the customer was only prepared to pay 2/3rds the prices needed. Material costs play a major part in the final price. It’s up to you to set the standard required.
What products typically come out of China?
Pretty much anything - However, the better question is what is worth buying from China, after you consider the cost landing it in your country.
What will you inspect?
Everything- It’s up to you to set the guidelines. Usually we will have a sample to compare. But really it’s up to you to set the guidelines; we just make sure they are met.
Do I really need you?
Well of course not. People deal directly all the time, mostly with few or no issues. But it is that risk / reward ratio that is important. What is the cost if something goes wrong, what value do you place on having someone check before you make final payment and goods are shipped?
Most companies could make do without ever using a solicitor or accountant, to make sure everything is right.
Global Exporters Limited can be your eyes and ears without you having to come to China saving you time and money.
